2. Select Lattice
a. Physical Ultrasim® 3D Lattice TestPad
- Choose from pre-selected BASF lattices via our Ultrasim® 3D Lattice Test Pad for Footwear, Seating, Protection.
- The Ultrasim® 3D Lattice Test Pad gives you tactile feedback for multiple designs and beam thicknesses, allowing you to chose the right validated lattice that works for the use case.
b. Digital Ultrasim® 3D Lattice Library

Supplement tactile feedback from the Test Pads with mechanical performance data. Lattices on the Test Pads are embedded in our Ultrasim® 3D Lattice Library, where all mechanical properties can be found.
- Select the right lattice based on different mechanical properties.
3. Generate and Export Lattice File
- Select the ideal lattice beam thickness and cell size based on the Ultrasim® 3D Lattice Test Pad or Ultrasim® 3D Lattice Library.
- The selected lattice is automatically generated into the part.
- You can export the ready-to-print STL or 3MF file and print your part.
